2013 Rubicon tires on a sahara

I like the tires that are on the new Rubicons and would like to get a set for my 2013 Sahara, but I think the rim size is different. Do you know if they make the same tires to fit the sahara rims and where the best place to buy them would be? Thanks

Check Tirerack.com, and which tire are you talking about, the ones on the Rubicon, or the 10th Anniversary Rubicon?

the answer is NO
actually they only make THAT tire in THAT size... i know i know they make BFG MTs in a lot of sizes, but if you notice (on tire rack) that is a Jeep Specific model the "KM" is 255/75-17 only...it has a "C" rating
Now they make the "KM2" in a ton of sizes...none of which will be the same diameter and width on an 18" wheel.....and honestly MOST of them are "E" rated and very stiff....
A lot of guys run E's but to me the ride is harsh.... and again, IMO, most true MTs are rough on the street.
There are a lot of tire options, sure BFG MTs look cool, but there are better options IMO.
do what you want...
i have a Sahara also..and i didn't like the stock rubber...i went with General Grabbet AT2s 275/65-18 they are the same diameter as stock, no clearence issues, they are about an inch wider, the have a much more aggressive AT tread (look alot like BFG ATs) they are only 2# heavier then stock and have a very similar load rating as stock..they're not Bricks... I am happy with them

You can get duratracs in 18's .. Just Tires has em ... Best choice IMO

Thanks. Both the duratrac and generals look nice. How are they in the snow?

I went to the Just Tires site and it gave me a disclaimer saying that my vehicle requires a tire size of 255/70-R18. Can I put a tire on that is 275/65-R18 without doing any modifications?

I recommend walking into a just tire and actually talk to someone .. Call Steve at just tire in homer glen Illinois .. He owns a wrangler and is very helpful with questions

YES.. thats what i did. I ordered the tires from my local shop. Drove in, swapped, and drove out. Stock rims, no lift, no spacer, no rubbing.
One thing that is also good about this size is that it is a standard F-150 size, for the newer Fords that come with 18" wheels, so the tire are readily available.
They are EXACTLY the same diameter as the stock B'Stone Duelers and they are 0.7" wider...but again its more the tread that makes them LOOK like alot more tire..
I did ALOT of research when i picked these... they are only 2# heavier, i didn't want a ton of extra weight adding stress on the drivetrain and killing mielage...and they have a 116 service rating compared to the 112 stock rating...in english that means they aren't BRICKS..they aren't made to handle heavy weights like"E" tires cuz they dont' have to...its a JEEP

Duratracs flat-out rock in the snow. :thumb:

But they should since they are rated for severe winter service.
