Spring question

I'm about to install a new Quadratec Q9000 winch on my TJ. Right now I've got a Teraflex 2in BB installed. When I measure from the frame to ground, I get 16in front and 16.5 in rear. The winch and mounting plate will add about 130lbs to my front end. When I sit on my bumper, it sags .5 inches. I'm 200lbs.

So, if I remove the front 2in spacers, and add 3in springs, I should level out when the winch is installed. I hope. Any suggestions? I've read some threads about Rusty's 3in springs. Opinions?

3" front coils are a good option and what I'd do in your position. Look at BDS coils. Rusty's is generally considered garbage.

Why not just put an actual lift on it and ditch the BB all together? And your front end will sag more over time. I through my winch on and sighed with relief that it only dropped a quarter of an inch. A year later it's more like 3/4".

If you get rid of your oem springs for 3" longer springs you might find it actually raises you higher than what you're looking for if your stock springs have sagged some over the years.

Lot's of stuff to consider. I'll look into the BDS springs.

As far as the BB is concerned, I'll probably replace the rear spacers next. Step by step.

What about Teraflex springs?
