Jeep Badge of Honor

If you haven't heard of the program, check it out at Jeep's website

Badge of Honor | Off Road Trails, Jeep Life, Trail Badge | Jeep

The basics are this...Jeep will give out badges on a point system. The best way to earn points is to visit a designated trail and check in (via smartphone app).

Rausch Creek is the only designated trail on the East Coast. There has been some chatter about Rausch Creek on this board so lets make a quest out of it.

Snippet from their FAQ:
How many trails are there in Jeep® Badge of Honor and can I collect Hard Badges for all of them?
Currently there are 38 Trails in the Jeep Badge of Honor Program — each with a unique Hard Badge for you to collect and display on your Jeep vehicle. Stay tuned for later phases where we'll provide you with even more trails and exciting program features.

This is a real badge (like the "trail rated badge" on the side of JKs) that Jeep will send to you...not a virtual badge.

I'm personally booked through mid June but this can be a chance to plan ahead.

Who's interested?

I'm up for it. Reaper was talking about 18 June going. We can make this a part of the MOAB trip to get more badges.

Windrock

If you do Windrock, TN you can get two badges in one day. It's about an 11 hour drive, so maybe a 3 day weekend would work.

I did a 4 day Windrock trip back in 08 with some friends. Fun times, we took a day to drive, 2 days of wheeling, and a day to drive back. The park is pretty packed on weekends, our Friday wheeling was wide open, but Saturday was a lot of stop and starts. Little bummed they came out with the badge of honor after I've already wheeled these trails.

I love this program. Have 14 badges so far, heading to Colorado next month to work on getting 5 more then to California in August to try for another 5. October will take me to Arkansas and Indiana for 5 more.

I'll get to Roush Creek summer of 2017 on my way to Jeep Beach Week in Ocean City or perhaps the PA Jeeps annual show. Haven't decided yet as 2500+ miles is a bunch just to get there.

Don't know if I'll get them all but I'm working on it as long as my rig stays healthy.

My only complaints on the BOH program are as follows:

1. Cell phone service sucks at some of the trails so it is difficult to sign in. I did Elephant Hill with a buddy, both of our phones finally got a bar and we both checked in, successfully according to our phones but his check in was never registered, mine was.

2. How about badges when you hit trail ranks (such as Trail Commander, Trail Pro, etc). Disappointed they don't offer these.

3. Sent three emails to the BOH people using the address they provide but have never gotten an answer. Don't waste your time asking a question, making a suggestion or telling them you couldn't check in due to poor cell service. They might read it but they don't reply.

4. How about more trails in Arizona, the only one they have now can be done in a Honda Civic. No honor in that and there are thousands upon thousands of great trails in AZ. No trails in NM ?? What's that all about? Plenty of trails in NM.
