Front bumper suggestions???

Okay so I've been wanting to fix up my 2000 wrangler sport. I want to put new bumpers on the front and back. I really want a smittybilt src front bumper with a winch and some kc lights...any suggestions?

BillyTheKid 05-11-2013 08:49 PM

I have a warn front rock crawler bumper and I absolutely love it. Built in America and it's tough.

I just installed the JCR Offroad Stubby Pre-runner bumper. It is really well built and reasonably priced for the quality.

Jgood738 05-12-2013 06:18 PM

I went with JCR Offroad as well. I live fairly close to them and picked up a pre-runner too. Mines a non-stubby though. Good price and quality.

Goalieme 05-12-2013 06:23 PM

I have JCRs sliders on my TJ and will be putting their bumpers on front and back. For the $$$ the quality is top notch, and they are made 100% in the USA also.

Nates 4x4 model 1 stubbed down to 38"

I love it, well made, less expensive then the rest, made in America!, comes with integrated winch plate, light tabs, dring tabs, and grade 8 hardware.

Agreed America is best! I had a Warn bumper for the past 5 years and it's seen plenty of rocks without major damage, still looks new. Actually selling it to a friend bc i just picked up Poison Spyder's Comp Stinger.

JeepMyth 05-12-2013 07:47 PM

I have the SRC bumper, while I don't condone anything not made in the USA it's a great front bumper. It's strong, reliable, and it looks great with room for a winch with a winch plate of course. The rear bumper is amazing as well, gives a lot of ground clearance and looks amazing. The fact that the front bumper has D-Ring mounts and 4 light mounts makes adding those 2 things a breeze and its really easy to install light and install them correctly. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the swing out tire carrier, it's a pain in the butt to install and it rattles while wheeling. Get the SRC bumpers, you won't regret it. Especially due to the reasonable price.

JeepMyth 05-12-2013 08:11 PM

P.S. One thing to keep in mind for is that there is 2 mounts on the top of the brushguard/stinger but they're a little close together so make sure you measure the lights before hand. The KC 6" lights should work fine but I bought some ProComp's and messed up, gonna move them to the bottom mounts and put some KC slimlights on top.

Jaxon1023 05-12-2013 08:21 PM

I've had the src and now the src stinger. I like both.

I have the BTF bumper with flat tube. They have the same bumper with a stinger or no tube and D ring mounts. It's reasonably priced and not too many people have it.

Smittybilt stinger anyone?

TheDesertOutlaw 06-27-2013 10:35 PM

XRC - Good approach angle w/ample front-end protection

I have run the XRC for the past 8 years - It has stood up to the threat of deer loose on Hwy 1, sheetmetal pounding, granite, and has held its original shape. Though it is heavy, I am sure it will hold up in case of an accident, and then I will buy something equally sturdy.

Whispers: "That's the SRC."

jherrington 06-27-2013 11:09 PM

400 just seems a little steep for that bumper.

Edit: for any bumper!
