Outer Banks/Hatteras?
Just looking to see if there is anyone that heads out to Hatteras at all. Been going there every weekend so far as a quick get away and usually camp out with the wife and my faithful mutt. If so, would like to see if we could get a jeep get group together. Did this a lot up north and being here in NC for about 2 years I haven't had much time other than lately to plug into different jeep outings.

I'm going up to Hatteras for about a week june 16th - 21st with some of my buddies for graduation, if you want to get up with me that weekend and ride around there or go up to Corolla let me know

Sweet, and do yall know the deal with the beach passes for Hatteras/Ocracoke? I've heard that they were going to do away with them and if not I need to renew mine

The passes are still being handed out and from what I was told there are no plans to stop the ORV program. The only material change this year was that the stickers are put on the inside of the window instead of the outside. Big deal.

Damn I was really hoping that I wouldn't have to pay for the $150 sticker this year

Hey Guys, I go often as possible to Hatteras/Ocracoke. I work in Corolla and i will never take my Jeep there, the parking on the beach there is bass ackwards, hate it! South 12 is the only way to go. Take Care.

I did the beach pass last year but with the length of drive on the beach restrictions compared to Corolla, and you don't need a paid pass to get on their beach, I said screw that.
Sure the parking can be a bit weird having to park in the middle and all but, I go down a ways to the narrower beaches and park there. Besides there is more horses at that end.
Then there is this group that has flyovers on the beach with there prop kites.
But, Beachrider is a local and he has his preference of beaches. Just not enough for though.
