4 screws?

Have printed a few instructions from forum users re: installing premium soft top when having desktop option. If it is 72+ tomorrow, I am going to attempt. Directions mention utilizing 4 torx screws? Where are those? Already being used with hard top? Those are the only pieces not in my soft top boxes. Thanks for helping the newb.

They are use in the hard top not in the soft top... So long as I followed the instructions properly.

I think he means the four screws that hold the soft top brackets onto the sloping rear parts of the roll cage.

In answer to the question (if that's what the question is), I don't know. I got the dual top option so it was already attached using those screws when I took delivery.

The PDF from the forum says the 4 torx bolts will attach the soft top to the roll bar. I am clueless. I guess it may make sense during install (they may already be there) , but I didn't want to get that far in the install and realize I am missing parts.

Did you buy the Jeep new with the dual top option, did you get the soft top after the event, how did it all come?

Bought it new with dual top. Haven't taken off hard top as it has been 3 cold days.

Ah. Presumably the soft top is still installed inside then. The four screws you're talking about should be currently attaching the main soft top brackets to the sloping rear part of the roll cage.

If they aren't there, go back to your dealer and tell him he needs to give them to you; mine had two missing, my dealer said he was going to have to order them in so I marched the salesman out to the yard on the pretence of making sure that we were talking about the same thing, then when he pointed them out on another vehicle I insisted he take them off that vehicle and give them to me.

Thanks. I will make sure I check tonight!

They are the M6 x 1.25's that attach your bow bracket to the roll ball in the back. I didn't have them with my soft top that I bought from another Jeeper, and they were $8 a piece !!! Yikes. They aren't in the box, and hopefully you already have the brackets installed if you had the dual top option. Wish I had known when I picked up the top.
