break fluid keeps leaking
Hey guys so today is the second time ive refilled my break fluid container in like a month from bein bone dry. My breaks went out one night so i checked em and no fluid at all then it was almost empty today too. Obviously i know this aint supposed to happen. Whenever i push the breaks i literally basically gotta push em to the floor and whenever i push down, it sounds like alot of air getting pushed until it starts breaking. So yeah guys, any help would be appreciated or anything for me to check out.

Look for leak evidence at the master cylinder, wheel cylinders, calipers, and hoses. Can you fix the problem yourself once you find it?

In the sense imma have to. I dont have money to take it to someone.

I'd say an external leak is likely the culprit here, so find that and then you'll know where to start with parts.

Two things... First, that your brake master cylinder went dry & you refilled it, and that air can also get into the system via a leaky master or slave cylinder, means more than likely that in addition to the leak, your brake lines also have air in them. Air in the lines means your brakes not work very well even once the master cylinder has been refilled.

Then, you basically only have five likely sources of the brake fluid leak. The master cylinder and the four slave cylinders at each of the wheels. It shouldn't be difficult to see which is leaking by simply looking at each location for leaking brake fluid. So once you locate the source of the leak, you'll need to replace that master or slave brake cylinder, or perhaps just tighten one of the brake line nuts if you're lucky.

Once the leak is found & repaired, you'll then have to bleed all of the brake lines.
