Intermittent Engine Stall
My 2002 Jeep Sahara

I was driving my 2002 Jeep Sahara on the freeway (CA) doing about 68 MPH, when the vehicle bucked. Several minutes later, the engine died for about 10 seconds, and started up again. I continued driving, for about 2 - 3 minutes, when the engine died again, only to start up again after about 10 seconds. This continued to do this for about 6 miles, until I was able to get off the freeway. I had the vehicle towed home. I started it this morning and drove around the neighborhood without any further symptoms. What could have been problem, and can I expect it to occur again?

Same thing basically happened to me Thursday. Mine started back but only ran for a few min the next day. After that it would not start back. Had the tow truck pick it up today and take it to my local shop. I will post what we find. I had the codes come up for cam shaft, crank shaft sensor as well as miss fire.

Alot of times the cam sensor and crank sensor will act up like this when they get hot after cooling off they'll run fine untill they get hot again. Did it turn on the SES light and if it did where there any codes set?

The funny thing was that the Check Engine Light Did NOT Come on. When I had trouble with the Crank sensor in the past, the crank sensor did come on and I was able to pull up a code

At first I had no light. But when it finnaly quit I had codes for the Cam, Crank and miss fire. Replaced the crank sen but it did not help. I have already replaced the Cam sen one time but should have a new one today. I will drop it off at the shop today. I am hoping that I don't need a new cam.

Intermittent Engine Update
I have been driving my vehicle for 2 days now without any problems. I did have a minor incident that has confused me. About 10 miles away from the house on the freeway where I was doing about 68 MPH, I noticed my oil guage was pegged at 80PSI, normal reading 50 PSI. I pulled over, shut the engine down, let it sit for a couple of minutes, and started the engine. The oil pressure guage went back to reading normal 50 PSI, and has been there the rest of the day. Drove a total of about 90 miles today.
Something I forgot to mention before was that about a week ago, I cleaned my engine using degreaser, and a car wash sprayer nozzel. I wonder if I got something electronic wet.? ? ? ?
