Any flint/lansing area jeep clubs out there?
Looking into joining a club any good clubs around the flint/ Lansing area?

Good clubs? You will have to decide for yourself, but I think we are a good club

We meet at All Stars Sports bar in Burton on the first Sunday of the month. 5pm social hour/dinner, meeting at 6pm.

Ok is anyone invited I am only 17 but I'm intrested in joining a club my dad works in burton are you meeting this weekend?

First Sunday of the month, unless we get bumped by Superbowl or a holiday, then we move it back a week. June 2 would be our next meeting.

I am not sure about All Star's policy about unescorted minors - I am not sure if you will need a parent along, you might want to give them a call before you make the trip.

Ok I'll talk to my dad about it he'd probably come with me anyways we always do our jeep stuff together anyways so that's no problem who can I contact to join?

We are little east of you, centered in Mayville. We allow minors, if your parent or guardian signs a waiver of liability for any ThumbJeeps events. MI-Thumb Jeepers Group |

Hey, glad you made it to the meeting yesterday!

Michigan jeeper 06-03-2013 07:58 AM

My dad and I are thinking about doing that trip to west branch with you guys sounds like a fun trip!

Cool - with the rock crawl area at the mostorsport area, a couple of fun trails (fun meaning not serious or technical) and miles of open state forest roads, there is enough to stay busy for a whole day up there. I think most of the group is planning on a day trip, we are heading up Friday night to camp for the weekend somewhere close.

I know there is "we got mud" near flint. They go to the mounds a lot. I have wheeled a few sundays with them and they are pretty cool. Not a jeep specific club tho.

Michigan jeeper 06-03-2013 11:32 AM

Ok let me know about camping arrangements and all the plans so we can plan the trip!

Old thread, but I might have to come checkout a Sunday meet with What Lies Beneath.

Just bought my first jeep a couple weeks ago, a 2011 JK 2 door. I've always been a car guy(Monte Carlo, a couple Grand Prixes(one built that I did a topswap on), and a 2013 Regal Turbo)... so the jeep is something new to me, and I love it.

The Jeep came with the rims+tires and front bumper... I threw an old eXcelon radio I had in it and some 55w HID's to replace the stock headlights. The Jeep won't be getting a big stereo... but I was a mobile electronics installer for for five years during my undergrad for Duke's in Saginaw and Circuit City for a few years before that. Sadly I no longer am an installer, but at least my bank account looks better now.

Ohh yah... here is the jeep I bought:

Be sure to check out Great Lakes 4x4 Message Board for local off-roading info. There are several clubs in the area to choose from depending on what you're looking for.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 10:16 AM.
