Charlotte trails

Are there any trails in the south Charlotte/union county area? Want to stay local only looking to be out for a few areas.

not that i know of. there might be some "private" trails on somebody's property but unless you know somebody with land and trails your general options are Uwharrie and Gulches (SC).

Man there's a good one in Monroe off of airport road I go all the time there are no "no trespassing " signs and alot of people go there it's right at the intersection of gold mine road and airport road.

Wow, gotta love google maps - satellite view - that looks awesome!
There are some powerline trails on the north side of Charlotte, off Eastfield road, but I think they can only be accessed from private property (local homeowners access), so you need permission to get there.

It's nothing to spectacular but there's some fun hills alot of mud and other things and its nice and wide I went last weekend in the rain and had a blast! Have to steer clear of the big holes tho I'm on stock tires :( if its not a far drive its deff worth checking out!

Just found out last night that my buddy, who got stuck on the access trails just off HWY 21 (Statesville Rd) in Huntersville, upon coming out was met by several police cars ... I guess it is private land and they didn't appreciate him being there. No ticket, but a good warning.

Nissantech 06-14-2013 07:52 AM

Yea thats all I ever get is a warning it sucks coming out to 2 sheriffs sitting there, but at least it's always been a warning tho lol

Crashzx6r where are those trails in gaston co? I just bought my jeep 2 weeks ago and I'm itching to take it off road

The trails in Monroe were gated off by the airport. There is no access anymore.
