Is my jeep lifted?

My jeep looks like it sits higher in the front than the back. PO had mods on it but not sure if lifted. Took pics of the springs. I also measured from the ground to the front bumper which was 24 inches. Then measured from the ground to read bumper which was 20 inches. Thanks

You have a spacer lift in the back for sure. Looks to be about 1.5-2 inches and if you say the front sits higher then you probably have lift springs up front because theres no spacer up front. My guess is a 2 inch coil spring lift because actual coil lifts will give you slightly more lift than as described

Yep I agree with above. 2" spacer lift in rear and I can't see any spacers from the pic of the front so I assume its a 2" or 2.5" lift spring. You also have aftermarket shocks, but I'm not sure what brand. Maybe rancho?

EMTJEEP 05-17-2013 12:10 AM

The shocks look like Ranchos because of the silver metallic coloring.

SuicideSaints 05-17-2013 12:24 AM

2 inch lift and I would say rancho shocks too. It is kinda odd that your are seeing a 4 inch difference between the back and front though.

Can you post a pic of the side of your jeep? Also, what size tires are you running?

PHILDABEAST 05-17-2013 12:54 AM

Also has aftermarket sway bar links and is missing the bumpstop in the front.

Here's the side view. Do I need the bumpstops? And are the other aftermarket parts good equipment or junk?

ROBCAR 05-17-2013 08:25 AM

Does not look like your bumpers are inline with one another hence the 4" difference. Looks real close to level if you leave the bumbers out of it. Maybe I am not seeing what you are.

1) Pretty sure the bumpers aren't on the same level. So don't measure from them for a comparison. Measure from the front and rear of the rocker panel.

2) You have to determine bumpstops on your own. There's way too many factors for us to tell you how much you'll need. But you do need some for sure.

Aseventyfive 05-17-2013 11:42 AM

Ok so I need bumpstops. What is their purpose?

Aseventyfive 05-17-2013 11:45 AM

Also the rear bumper doesn't look level with the front. I thought that was because of the difference in lift from front to back.

SuicideSaints 05-17-2013 11:50 AM

It doesn't look level but it is hard to tell. Measure from the rockers and see what that is. It might be the springs sagging from being worn out.

prevent major suspension interferences and damage.

you need the whole bumpstop assembly...bumpstop cup, jounce bumper, mounting bolt, and bumpstop extensions for your shock length/tire size/etc.

look up a thread titled "correct bumpstop length"

Aseventyfive 05-17-2013 11:53 AM

What do the rockers look like. Uber inexperienced.

So then I if I'm going to lift it 4 inches then I might as well wait to do the bumpstops then. Since they come in the kit.

unless you're buying Currie replacement bumpstop assemblies, then the kit will not include the necessary bumpstop cup or jounce bumper.

just keep in mind with no bumpstops at all, like your current setup, there is nothing to stop the axle housing from smashing into the oil pan, or to prevent other significant vehicle damage during uptravel. your Jeep, your call.

Aseventyfive 05-17-2013 11:59 AM

I'll buy and install tomorrow. Just need to figure out which ones to get

SuicideSaints 05-17-2013 12:00 PM

The rocker is the bottom of the tub/body.

REEDracing94 05-17-2013 01:40 PM

It looks like your front fender flares are cut, which also makes the front look higher than the rear
