Daily Driver
Okay, I'm sure this question gets asked all the time, but I coudln't find it in the search function for some reason,
Is your Jeep your daily driver? Or do you have something else that gets better gas milage to do your going to work, the grocery store, etc?

GreyGhost 05-18-2013 06:02 AM

It is my daily driver.

kjeeper10 05-18-2013 06:10 AM

Not for long ^^^ :D

DBoat 05-18-2013 06:15 AM

Its my daily driver, my other vehicle is a 2002 Ford Lightning. it has 60K miles on it.. and its a tossup as to which gets worse gas mileage. however, the office is 6 miles away and I generally dont put 100 miles on it in a week.

It's my daily driver. I work at home so it's used mostly for errand runnings and various outings to the beach. .

bigblackjeep94 05-18-2013 10:55 AM

jeff_in_rc 05-20-2013 10:47 AM

DD and weekend warrior like Beastmaster, my other vehicle is my Chevy quad cab, long bed, dually diesel truck! You tell me which is more fun to drive! LOL

BigManAndy 05-20-2013 10:59 AM

Yep JK is the only vehicle I own.

Duckquackers 05-20-2013 11:09 AM

DD here as well just did a 500 mile trip this weekend and had a whooping average of 12...

Michigunman 05-20-2013 11:13 AM

Mine is not. I do drive it work on occasion. My other vehicle is just a plain Ford Fusion.

wedu22 05-20-2013 01:12 PM

Yes, it is

Rob1957 05-20-2013 02:13 PM

Wife drives it every day. Mine is a F350.

dawhitesJKU 05-20-2013 02:23 PM

my other vehicle is registered as non op. so my jk is my dd and attaining a high mpg is necessary. high 19s, low 20s mpg on 33's.

SuicideSaints 05-20-2013 02:48 PM

My TJ is not my daily driver, I just use it for offroading, camping, hunting and fishing. I will drive it occasionaly to a car pool spot for work. My daily driver in a 2013 Jetta TDI, I get about 45mpg out of it and I love it.

JKone3 05-20-2013 03:38 PM

DD here as well for now..

Wherever I go he goes; he's My Buddy!

CarolinaCajun 05-20-2013 06:49 PM

My one and only.

Garrygky 05-20-2013 07:44 PM

Mine is a DD as well.

Lamp 05-20-2013 08:34 PM

My 2011 JK is my daily driver, but the gas mileage doesn't bother me in the least because I love the vehicle, and work is only 1/2 mile from home. I put 3000 miles on it the week I bought it (moving from South Carolina to Arizona), but have only put 2500 on it in the last 5 months.

pepatrick 05-20-2013 10:40 PM

2013 JKU Sahara is my daily driver. I travel quite a bit so it goes to the airport and back a couple of times a month. When not traveling I work from home so gas mileage is not a big concern. It s my daily driver.

My '97 TJ is my DD. 221k miles and counting! (I bought her a year ago at 211k). But that doesn't mean she can't handle herself.

EDIT: Don't know how or why that second picture got in there. That isn't me. Same rock, different Jeep. Lol

DD and weekend warrior. I've been hard on it during a few trail rides, and in 9 years it has only missed going to work on monday twice. Last time it was factory tie-rod, this time it was factory drag-link.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 10:07 PM.
