Any ideas?

Uriah Jeep 05-20-2013 07:43 AM

Yes but I want really good quality ones. Was hoping I get some people to vouch for certain brands.

JTPhoto JK 05-20-2013 08:01 AM

ProComp Xtreme Alloy 7089, or 7069. Good solid wheels.

Procomp 7069's

Omar Brannstrom 05-20-2013 11:29 AM

Hi

As I have 265/70/17 Cooper st Maxx the procomp 7069 are to big so I went with Black Rock 908B. I do really like the procomp 7069 but it needs 285/70/17 or more and I do not want a lift.

I would also plasti dip my stocks, they look great and do not cost much to plasti dip. In chrome they look horrible:D

How about these? Mopar 2011 Jeep GC wheels

Rmiller31 05-21-2013 10:21 AM

There are gear blackjacks. I think they make a smaller center cap too which would be ideal since this ones is pretty easy to scrape on rocks.

Plastidip! Just did mine this past weekend. They look great. Pic is on my profile

County98 05-21-2013 11:17 AM

I'm going with Method Race for mine. Not too mainstream, but light and good quality.

Some folks really like to stick with hub centric wheels like the AEV's or Rugged Ridge(I think?) Not so important for me since I dont do any rock crawling. Just another thing to keep in mind. Lots of good choices.

I've also ordered 2 full sets from Discount Tire Direct and highly recommend them.

Have fun shopping!

Nope just make sure the first time you put it on it's warm. I'd also lay the top out in the sun to help. I laid mine out in the sun and the temp dropped and it started to rain before it was a really tight fit at first.

Thanks I think I'll look at quadratrac and see how much

Plasti dip easy and inexpensive. Didn't like the rims in chrome but changed my mind once black. Remember once you go black you never go back......right?

Bar01 05-22-2013 05:41 AM

Mike K46 - what kind of wheels are those? Nice.

i did the very same to my polished ali's. they looked good for a couple of months. but the plasti-dip started getting hard to clean and in some areas it started peeling or flecked off because of road wear/contact. i peeled the stuff off and plan to prime and paint in a couple of weeks. loved the all black look.
