Frameless soft top question

Just got our new softtopper installed and it is really slick. Turned around and took it off the next day so we could do a winery tour topless. Here is my question that I could not find a answer for. How do you take the top with you when you travel? Do you roll it up and tie I to the back bars? How do you store your windows? We bought some black cotton to make a case for them to slip in. Best I idea I can come up with it to put the side windows in the case we make then fold them and put them behind the seat with the half door upper, roll the back window up with the top and put it across the back behind the seat and in front of the roll bar and strap it down. Anyone have a better way to take it with you?
My GF helped put it back on last night. She was afraid she would not be able to do it on her own but after helping last night she thinks after a couple more times helping she will be ready to do it solo. I really like the top but I do wish they would have sewed their window pocket into the top like other brands do instead of making it a separate part that you have to install with the top. FYI, install the straps for the pocket first before you put the top on. So much easier!

I think you've got a good idea. I've been wondering the same thing.

Last night I just rolled the windows up in the top and then put the whole thing in the back (I've got the rear seat out at the moment). It worked, but obviously NOT an "elegant" solution.

I've been thinking about going to one of the fabric stores and making my own window roll, then rolling that up in the top itself and just letting the top be it's own storage device while it's strapped down to the rear bars behind the rear seat back. Basically where the original top lives when it's down.

Will these tops work with hard Rock after market roll bars? I would be worried about theft more than anything leaving my top in a case in the back. Is there anyway to secure it?

As long as the roll bars don't change the shape of the cage, you should be fine.

The theft thing is an ever-present risk with Wranglers. The Softopper is just big enough, you can't tuck it down out of sight.

Theft is the worst part about the frameless soft top s in my opinion. If you take it all the way off and strap it to the bars then if someone does swipe it they get it all. Where as the framed tops stay attached to the jeep. All u can really do is strap them in good and hope for the best. I have a portable alarm with a cable that I could wrap around the soft top and door tops behind the seat. If someone tried to take it they would have to either cut the wire or unplug it, either way setting off the alarm. About the best you can do.

The Rampage has window holders built into the top. that doesnt help softtopper guys though.. I would get a duffle bag and some towels or other material and roll them up and put them in a duffle bag then bungie cord them down.

The softopper does have provisions for window storage, above the front seats. The OP is talking about completely removing the top, but taking it with in case of inclement weather.

A very nice feature of the softopper is that it can go from completely off to completely on in about 5-6 minutes. However, if you want to take it with you, that brings up some interesting issues. Now you have to figure out where to put the top and windows so they won't get damaged or be easy prey for thieves or vandals.

It might be possible to rig up a PVC tube to permanently fasten to the roll bar and store the top there, or behind the front seats maybe?
