92 2.5 p.o. rebuilt clutch prior to sale..this attachment to internal slave has a cracked plastic(white cylindrical) fitting. no resistance in clutch pedal.drained master. reconnected and tried to bleed and pressure popped the line again.. suggestions of quick fix and proper fix? trans locked in reverse.
do i straightline this? what is this connector..do i need it?

It is a quick disconnect for you to be able to service the clutch. Replace the slave and then connect up the new slave. Just did a clutch replacement. I would try to fix what is there or replace it with new. I wouldn't do away with the fitting as all new slaves come with the quick connect fitting.

not crackin the trans.if i dont have to...did this. was "told"master hose is specific to 91-92..will someone w/ 92 clutch exp. call true or bs..
I think they did it on the internal slave. I think the 93 was the first year that they put the slave cylinder on the outside of the bell housing. That doesn't require the quick disconnect because pulling down the transmission, the slave can be removed and the hydraulic line can remain connected while the transmission is down. So it is a characteristic of the internal slave cylinder.

I own a 93. Rebuilt from the bellhousing back last summer including clutch. Some 93s with ax5's have an internal (like mine) and some were external. then 2 months ago I blew the very same quick connect. The 93 hose is the year specific. The braided stainless hose I got from advanced adapters came with hardware to attach to one of the types of hose connections. I, of course, had to cut the pressure line coming out the side of the transmission, and flare a fitting onto it to create the connection that will hold up to the pressure.
