I work in a tire shop. I have a few buddies that run spacers and have had no problems. However i have seen the bad did of them in the shop. The theory is the nuts holding the spacers on will slowly become loose, you would have to pull the wheel off to check torque. In my personal opinion, there fine if you don't forget about them. anytime you have a wheel off or have it in a shop RETORQUE the spacers. Most problems seem to occur with the 24"-26" bling bling wheels some of these yahoos put on there caddys. Bigger sidewall flexs more putting less stress on wheel hub. Just my 2

I would do some price checking online. (sorry not sure whare) but they should cost 20-30 a piece. plus shipping. Not sure if there is much of a price difference between 1/2 in spacers and 1 1/4 in spacers. I would try to get the best deal for the ones you want. Otherwise you will end up getting larger ones someday, then you will have money stuck into them twice. just sayin
