Getting a Spacer Lift

Saw a guy on Craigslist selling a 2" lift for a tj. Never had one so I want to make sure it will work for me. Is there anything i should look for to be sure it will work? I have a 99 tj sport with stock suspension and 31" tires. Thanks in advance!

spacers are the cheap part. bumpstop extensions & the necessary hardware doesn't cost much either. what matters is what kind of shocks you get.

Not sure what he's selling the spacers for, but you can get a 2" BB with shocks from Rubicon Express for around $230. If you check ebay I've seen even cheaper with shocks...and I believe 4wheelparts had a kit from trailmaster for $200 or less...

Rear track bar relocator bracket would be a nice thing to get too...

In my 02 I'm running the RE. In my 04 I just got a set of Procomp ES3000 shocks with a 1.25" spacer. I got a great deal on new stock springs so those went in as well. It now actually sits almost the same height as my 02 that has the 2"bb (which is really a 1.75" spacer). Running 31's on both...

My zone budget boost kit with spacers, shocks, and bump stop extensions was just over $200. Couldn't be happier with it.

I've had my Rubicon Express BB a couple of months and I'm happy with it for the cash. It came with shocks and bumpstops, so it's pretty hassle-free. The pucks only measure 1.75" instead of 2" though.
