6500 isn't a bad price for it, granted you'll have at least another 1000 into new rims and tires.

Still better than Jk door handles... Since they're permanent.

Also, at least you'd know it hasn't been beat on rocks!

Queequeg 05-22-2013 03:43 AM

To each his or her own. Heheh. As a newb to this forum, I've seen folks throw ten times the worth of the Jeep in mods, some that don't quite make sense to the "quorum", given the typical daily intended use. So be it. I can't get down with 22" wheels on a TJ... ever. However, I respect the seller's ambition of personal expression and tire pressure. Like the previous poster indicated, this could be a steal with the right cash in hand.

I think that looks great? Right now I'm running 23 inch wheel and tires, with my jeep lowered with LED under glow.

Just kidding! Of course not! What a disgrace to that jeep

Iceman 05-22-2013 08:41 AM

Buy it and sell the wheels and tires. Use that money for upgrades or wheels and tires of your liking. I agree 22s don't belong on a Jeep (or another vehicle for that matter) but there will be plenty of people on CL or EBay that will happily be separated from their $$$ for them.

paul cameron walker? Don't tell me you're still granny shifting not double clutching like you should.

dylan1991 05-22-2013 08:49 AM

To bad its not closer to me. For that price I'd buy it, put new rims and tires on it and still come out cheaper than I bought my '06 for.

Jmess 05-22-2013 08:52 AM

CHECK OUT DOESSSS RIIIIMMMMMMMSSSSS *PUKE*

I would pay the dealer extra to remove the rims & Tires.

I love them for how terrible they are, especially tokyo drift (my fav).

SHADYDC 05-22-2013 01:41 PM

id buy it in heartbeat i found that. like stated above, you know it hasnt been of roaded like that

viperx6x9x 05-22-2013 09:13 PM

heck yeah, if the rest is in good shape, you can sell those wheels/tires easy. Get a set of steel crager's or something. And have cash left over for other upgrades.

Patrick H 05-22-2013 09:39 PM

I thought I was going to see pocket flares and tube bumpers....

PiePuncher 05-22-2013 09:42 PM

WOW!!!!

brokeagin 05-22-2013 09:44 PM

I agree! Fugly! BUT I would buy it in a heartbeat, snatch the tires and wheels off and buy some real ones. Money in the bank...LOL

viperx6x9x 05-22-2013 10:02 PM

Depending how much you can get for those wheels. You may be able to sell it and still make a little on it. If it has functional wheels/tires on it, you may be able to sell it for a little more.

then take the proceeds and buy stuff for your jeep.

scot68 05-23-2013 02:29 AM

Yup I'd buy it in a heartbeat but I would haul it home in an enclosed trailer so nobody could see it with those wheels/tires.

jeepinmike 05-23-2013 01:34 PM

Ive seen alot worse... though fugly to most jeepers, that is hardly out of place now-a-days, crap what's the biggest factory rim on a JK now?

Shaw_2112 05-23-2013 02:38 PM

no accounting for taste, I belong to an F350 forum as well and I see guys doing that to their trucks too, to each his own I guess. I've never been a fan the larger rims that are popular these days. Give me some 15" solid Center Lines anyday..

SmugglersBlues 05-23-2013 02:42 PM

Does it have hydralics was well. I could see that thing bouncing around.

SpoiledRotten 05-23-2013 03:12 PM

The seller probably beat the crap out of that Jeep, then for the sake of people thinking like most here, bought some big rims and tires and posted it. Now, people would stand in line to buy something that is about to fall apart....

Most likely not the case, but it would definitely work if there weren't visible signs of abuse. :D

im running 20's on my f350 but have a 37'' tire on it so i thinks it looks good but wouldnt go any bigger. i will stick to my 15's on my jeep though

phoolish 05-24-2013 07:42 AM

i believe in wheels should = about half the tire size

callbob 05-24-2013 08:17 AM

Plasti dip those bad boys and it would be a "mod".

Ebxgsxr 05-24-2013 11:54 AM

lol. looks like my old TJ when i bought it
http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/q...1%20TJ/384.jpg

ended up selling the wheels & put it towards other things. the jeep itself had low miles & everything else i was looking for at the time.

solman 05-24-2013 12:33 PM

$6500 for a 97? That's crazy. I paid less than $3500 for my 97 with the same miles 3 years ago.

SHADYDC 05-24-2013 01:14 PM

i paid less for my 02 few months ago lol. 3500 sounds like great deal on yours
