I think the jeep wave should be put in the owners manual of the wrangler

I don't know why, but when I pass a jeep and I wave and get nothing back I want to turn around and high five them to the face. Especially when you pass soccer moms in JKU. Does this aggravate anyone else?

Michigunman 05-23-2013 10:00 AM

No, they should wave because they understand and are a part of the Jeep community. Not because they read it in the manual. I get what you mean though. Just think of them as future great deals on a used Jeep for one of us when they tire of the novelty.

I was on a date in Chattanooga (Yes, I'm calling you out Chattanoogans) and the girl I was with said, "Are you sure there's really a wave?" In North Georgia they wave dammit. Well, not always the soccer moms.

I used to initiate waves when I saw a jeep. I soon found out that many didn't wave back. Then I only waved when someone else initiated. Soon no one was waving so neither was I. :D

mlemoine 05-23-2013 04:36 PM

The modified Jeeps tend to wave more than the stocked ones...They get it ;-)

I call out the JK's except modded ones!

Duke1968 05-23-2013 05:46 PM

Heck I catch myself waving when I'm in my truck ... It's a habit now

Michigunman 05-23-2013 06:20 PM

It's really pretty simple. Pass a Jeep, wave. Done.

Standby for how I really feel. Nothing against OP, I know it's a sensitive topic.

Fair. But I'd go farther. Painted hard top and fenders. No Wave.

I'm new and all stock. Waved to three Jeeps today and no wave. Maybe it's NY.

No fair! I have that and have been waving my hand off since I got it last weekend. One jeep waved back and I got a crop duster to dip his wing! Other than that, sadly, mostly soccer moms around here... :nonono:

I always try to wave but times your thinking about your next mod or something
and I'll and i see a jeep pass by, and i'm sure some just don't know

Present company excepted.

Also, some old timers might say that real Jeepers don't give 3 sh**s if you don't wave back cause "Life is good, I'm driving a Jeep"; Right, michigunman?
