Flagpole camping spots?

I'm joining onto a run to Flagpole this Saturday at the last minute, and the family wants to camp out there afterwards. Anybody know of any local campgrounds or random spots that would be feasible? I'd need to find a spot to drop my trailer with all my gear before the run on Saturday also. I'm imagining this isn't a huge issue, but having never been out there before, I figured I'd consult with the experts here...

Several really good camping spots going in on the Switzer Dam access to the trail (off RT. 33)

That's what I think I'm going to do after researching it a bit. Is anywhere in there OK for camping? I was reading about the meadow somewhere around there...

the meadow (meadow knob) is halfway up the trail
i would not attempt to get a trailer up there.

also remember its holiday weekend. will be busy. there are lots of spots, but going saturday, i'd count on the good ones being taken.

there is also a campground at hone quarry. 5 dollars a night i believe, self serve

Apparently there is a camping area 4 miles off 33 that is called the meadow...meadow knob was also mentioned in the write up I saw.

Thanks for the info on the other spot. I'll check it out too...

There are camping spots all over the area. If you have something to read a GPX file I'll send you the ones I've plotted.

@kawa001 - I would definitely be interested in a copy of that GPX file. I will PM you my email address...
