lift kit leaf spring question

Is there a trick to getting my 2.5 inch lift kit springs to reach both perches? Mine is off a few inches. Working on the rear spring I have one hanging and the other is not reaching. Can u help? Thanks

Pics? Where is it not reaching the shackle? Or the perch on the frame? If its the shackle just loosen the top shackle bolt swing the shackle and reinstall and re torque to 44-55 ft lbs

I thought my springs were like 4" to short? Then once we put some weight on it to compress the springs they flexed to fit. If you can swing the shackles over to the spring you'll be good to go. It may look funny but it will be fine once you set it down. Just remember to leave ALL bolts loose until its fully on the ground with load on it or you'll end up tightening it down like this picture shows. Thats a big no no with lifts, when things are tightened up like this it rides like hell.

When I move my shackle closer its still short. Im not strong enough to make the spring reach the shackle..

Try jacking the axle up a bit, and swing your shackles to the spring eyes at the same time.

Well I did put it on the ground and load the springs, but then I tightened them as much as I could. . . . It was riding like crap! I think that I will back the bolts out and torque to 45.

Thanks so the advice
