jeep feels 10 years younger

Decided to change cap, rotor, plugs and plug wires for normal maintenance. Old plug gaps were anywhere from 55 to 80. My 99 seems like its purring. Don't know if I.m imagining it or not. But seems alot smoother and snappy. Curious to see if mileage improves. Even wonder if I had a plug wire going bad. I swear radio is louder and alot clearer.

Did the same thing to my 99. Plugs were seriously eroded with .6 gaps. Replaced plugs and wires which made a huge difference. My rig idled better and I gained 2 mpg

yea gap is .035 so definately would make it smoother

Just put in some autolite Xp 985 iridiums in my 2000 TJ. Huge difference, now these supposedly come pre gapped at .035. Yeah right, I checked them and they ranged from .032- .042.

The gap on my new ones were way off to. Anywhere from .40 to .45. I put Champion platinums in.
