JKS half doors

Hi all,

I bought full doors and a hard top for my jeep because of the crappy weather we get here in Michigan. Now that I installed a trektop for the summer, I'd rather be sporting half doors. Any suggestions on how the get a pair a cheap as possible. There's really slim/none pickings from Craigslist. BTW, I'd still like to keep the full doors for winter.

If you wanna keep the full doors (like me), it will be rough. My only suggestion is to check junk yards. If I can't find any at a junk yard, I'll just get some Bestop or Rugged Ridge half doors in black.

Rugged Ridge makes Half Doors for the JK. They are cheaper than the ones from the factory, but they're still kind of pricey. You have to buy the uppers separately if you want to be protected form the weather.

Another option is to look into the Bestop Soft Doors. They are a 2-piece door that is just like half door, but it's all cloth. they fit great and are super light so they can be thrown in the back of the Jeep to be door less really easily.

Hope this helps!

Great skin door option. Thanks. Anyone have pics of just the lower skin on with skin door top off to get a feel?

How do the Bestop uppers look with the factory soft top?

Should have phrased that better...does the upper fit snug?

People claim they can get them to, never had much luck getting a good seal with mine.

Thanks for the input. They look like a good value, would you purchase them again? Im not worried about slight leakage as I don't run carpet.

I'd get them if I pulled the carpet. Some use velcro straps to tie the top of the window to the visor when at highway speeds to keep them from pulling out.

That's not super comforting, but thanks again.
