New lj softopper!!!

First pics...She's finished!!!!
The Softopper LJ02 frame-less soft top. Using the Factory Jeep door surrounds and a few other tweaks!
This should be out in the next few weeks and sell for around the same as the regular LJ01 model..,maybe even cheaper!

Hope you guys like it.....
pm me if your interested / like the top!

Wow, that looks really nice! I might get one in the future, I have a YJ and would require me to either get full doors or the sliders. Hopefully I can pick up a set of the sliders soon. Then I will get one.

Have you had a chance to put it down and up? Is it relatively easy?

I believe this model (YJ01) works with soft uppers.

Exactly why I wanted this one made....I loved the TJ02 I had on my 2000.

Been lurking on this forum for a while. This thread brought me to go ahead and register. I have a very mildly built 2005 LJ.

Fireaxe, any more word on this top? I will contact the company on Monday but wondered if they have identified a release date yet?

Also, I saw a video posted on youtube showing flex and flapping that seemed excessive, can you comment on how your top is doing?

Thanks!

John

They have been really busy and LJ02 should be cut here this upcoming week and available soon.
I'll try to get a better release date.

The Jeep in the top of the tread is not mine. But I'll also ask about an update from him.

Mine has stretched and loosened up in the nearly year that I've had it. It does flap more now than when new. Mine is a TJ02.

That being said there is still a little more adjustment built in. The zippers that the windows attach to aren't sewed to the top, they use velcro instead, which allows for adjustment that other tops don't have.

The only real complaint that I have is that the rear straps will loosen up after a couple of hours at speed.

I definitely don't see that as being as nice as the Trektop NX, but it is nicer looking than the Rampage for sure. The Softtopper windows are just too small, which isn't an issue by itself necessarily, but all that extra material just looks sloppy. It honestly just looks lower quality.
Forgive my honest personal opinion and carry on. :)

LJ02's are being cut Monday....should be soon!!!

Softopper LJ02 configurations?

What are the use options for this Softopper LJ02? Can it be easily rigged as a "safari" top as the Trektop NX - top on but windows off? Any pics of that configuration or with the top down? Does the top fold down or come off entirely?
thanks,
Chuck

This top has a few options

Fully on: top and all windows.
Safari: top on with all 3 windows out. ( I think this looks cleaner than stock b/c you don't have the rear vertical pieces) ( as well as a storage compartment built in to the top so when you are in safari mode you still have you windows with you...and protected)
Naked: the entire top off of the Jeep.

Unlike a framed top, all frameless top do not "fold-down" the way a stock framed top would.
Some however may have a Sunrider feature but that on,y folds back past the driver/passenger area.
