Tire pressure sensors: OEM vs. 3rd Party

Any experience with 3rd Party TPMS? I'm shopping for a new set of tires/rims and the local tire shop "prefers" OEM to avoid problems.

OEMs are expensive at $120 (vs. $59), are they worth it?

Thanks,
Mitch

just purchase the aev procal. you could have the tire shop switch your oem sensors to your new wheels/tires setup, and set the procal to the psi setting. or you could just use the procal to turn it off. mine is currently turned off...i'm old school and prefer to check my psi manually.

Good point! I can get the aev procal for less than the cost of two OEM TPMS ...
