Who is going? I have to work Saturday and I live in NY, but was thinking of heading down after work but won't get there til Saturday evening. Is it worth going for Sunday???

FYI for all you guys that aren't from the Pittsburgh/Butler area, If you are coming up from the south and taking 279 north you want to find a different route to the festival. They are doing a lot of construction near the exit you will take off 279 to get the festival. I'll be taking route 19 (perry highway) up there from my house. Back roads will most likely be better. Last year the traffic was bad too

Since I'm not familiar with the area, how would that impact me if I'm staying in Cranberry Township?

If you are staying in Cranberry you could take RT19 all the way up to coopers. It runs parallel with 279, just rt 19 is more rural area with stop lights n that. I'll try and look up the area they are doing the construction and get back to you. but from what I heard it's going to be a nightmare, especially with parts-o-rama going on right up the road

RemoJK 06-11-2013 12:59 PM

On CBS news page they are saying the on ramp from 279N to 422 (exit you'd take) will be closed so if you are coming north on 279 I would definitely take a different route. If you are coming South on 279 it will be a one lane, so yea it should be one hell of a weekend for traffic in butler

coming from cranberry vv

So your saying to avoid 79 north ? Where does the construction start ?
I will be coming up 79 heading to Butler as my hotel is on 422 in Butler.
Any good routes going into Butler from 79 ?

Another question we are staying at a hotel in Butler but a few people from our club are camping at Cooper. We have passes for the weekend for the festival. Will we be able to go into the campground to visit our friends ?

If your hotel is on 422 I think you can take that right up to Coopers:confused: I'll have to check that

Yes there are quite a few here. Decent turnout today for day 1 of the show. Tomorrow should be even bigger and busier. Managed to score a set of scratch and dent Body Armor doors for my JK that look great for cheap so I'm super excited.

Just got home. Had a great time and will be back next year.
Was a pro photographer there doing these pics as you entered. Went by his booth the next day and he had mine up for display so I got a killer discount. And yea you could pick from different backgrounds so that's not Butler PA lol.
