Hey there just wanting to get some opinions on the 2 tires I have an 89 yj with a 2.5 and its a dd so I know the grabbers (red letter) r a bit heavy for a four banger but I wheel when I can find time. The terrain is mostly rocky trails with mud every now and then.

Anyone have any opinion at all?

Bump for opinions

I vote duratracs. Though the grabbers offer more durability, the duratracs make up for it in weight. Both are excellent tires.

I am very happy with my Grabbers.

The grabbers are some of the heaviest tires on the market!

The 2.5 already has more work to do than it can handle so why add even more if you don't have to? Especially on something you'll be driving everyday. I say go duratrac.

with mickey Thompson in terms of longevity.

Unless you wheel sharp rocks its hard to beat the duratracs. You might want to check out Goodyear fierce mts also. Very similar to duratracs and a little cheaper.

I'm basing this solely on your description of where you wheel...I have DuraTracs, and love em. As far as weight, longevity, and all-around traction go, they rock.
HOWEVER...the sidewall is thin, and can get sliced in rocky terrain. I run the 35" E-rated version, so that's not a problem for me. But if your primary wheeling is in rocks, I'd go with the grabbers.
FYI...the GoodYear Fierce Attitudes that BigEZ mentioned are the same as the DuraTracs, essentially, though cheaper. GoodYear owns both.
