New Wrangler Owner / New To Forum

Bought a 2007 Unlimited X about a month or so ago. Any suggestions on first jeep mods? Already put in a sound system I had laying around. Sounds bangin for just a couple of old 12's. Looking to maybe add a little lift 1"-3"?? and maybe some bigger/wider or just meatier tires. Don't want to kill mpg's a whole lot since that was the reason I got rid of my 10 mpg Dodge Ram. Not looking to break my bank I'm on a little of a budget. Any suggestions much appreciated!

Welcome! What type of wheeling are you looking to do or are you going to do any at all! This is going to help point all of us in the right direction.

It is my daily driver but also wanting to do some trailing/mudding on the weekends. Want to start taking a yearly trip or two out to Moab and different places with a couple buddies.

A stock wrangler is very capable. With that said if you want a little different look without total smashing your MPG's I would probably look for some rubicon take off's and throw those on there. They have mud terrain tires. You would be surprised how it changes the look.

When you go up in the air and bigger tires, then you can start hitting the MPG's depending on what you do.

I'll have to look into that. What could I do to get a wider stance look? Just wider tires? Not completely against the idea of a small lift just don't want to waste all my $$$ cause I know some lifts break the bank pretty quick. I'm not worried about losing 1-3 mpg's I just definitely don't want to lose any more than that.
