Heavy steering

Hey guys. Driving home from work today my steering kept getting intermittently heavy. I pulled over and check the fluid for power steering and it was full. Everything seems to be in working order. Any ideas? 91 2.5

Easy fix or expensive?

Is your belt slipping?

Finding the part should be the hardest part. Take the shaft off the steering box and move the joint. It should move freely side to side and up n down.

When there's a steering problem all of the steering/front end components should be checked, but it sounds like your power steering pump might be going bad.

It squeals when I start it occasionally. Usually when it's above 75.
