Purchase Price/Trade Question On '13 10A JKUR

Long time lurker.... first post.

After seeing the changes for the 14's, I think I'd like to go for a '13 10A JKUR. I'm going to go talk to the dealer tomorrow.

What's the dealer invoice on a 10A JKUR? How much can I expect to pay below invoice considering that the 14's are now available for order? I have the Chrysler affiliates -1% discount.

Now about my trade. I have a '10 Sport S 2-Door with a 3.5" RK X-factor lift, front ProRock44 ($4200 new), rails, ARB bumper, nice winch, ect. 10,700 miles. Lots of cash into it. NADA has is at $23,125 clean trade in without the stuff above. What would be a good point to negotiate to?

Thanks.

Truecar.com will let you configure a 10A and give you true invoice to work from.

As for your 2010 it will be tough. Dealer will tell you that the add ons mean nothing but those are some significant upgrades. Maybe try and sell the Jeep outright or sell off your mods for stock parts if you have time. Me, I'd start at trade in price plus half the mods cost and work my way down.

Pull the lift, winch and the PR44. You will be glad you did, dealer will give you the same price with or without it.

This^! And except for some parts of Florida I hear, most folks paid no more than the 1% below invoice you mentioned. I ordered early and got 3.9% below invoice but the sales manager was not happy about the deal once the 10A got there. It's only about $3-400 per 1% you get under invoice, so I would shoot for 4% below invoice and be happy with 1% below if its the jeep you want with the options you want. But negotiate that price before talking trade. If they know you have a trade before the deal, they lower the 10A a bit and make the biggest killing on underpaying you on the trade. Sell privately, get a quote from Carmax, but take as much stuff off the vehicle as you can. I had dual tops on a jeep I traded. The premium top was never opened or used. I kept it and the dealer told me it would have only increased my trade by a couple hundred bucks. It's $1600 new and sells for over $800 on the street.

A lot of work for that right there. I'd also have to do a re-gear on my old axle.

Last year, I talked to a dealer briefly, and they said they could also do consignment for something like $900. Maybe that'd be a good route.
