3" or 4" kit! I need help.

I just bought BFG M/T 315/75/16 KM2 for my 16x8 4.5 bs Unique 252 Series wheels and I am debating on a 3" lift or a 4" lift. The 3" is just a spacer kit. Does this do anything at all for off roading or is it just for looks? It's going to be $850 procomp, with install, for the 3" and $1300 installed for the 4" superlift. The superlift is the lowest quality of there 4" lifts but I'm not doing anything crazy and I don't have Rubicon for the heavy stuff.

I also have a choice of going with a 4" rough country lift but EVERYONE is telling me that rough country is junk. I do MOST driving on the streets BUT I am going to be camping and going to the mountain here a lot now that I have my jeep!

Last questons is since I have an Unlimited X instead of the Rubicon did I lose a TON of off roading capabilities? What do I need to know about what an X doesn't have and what a Rubicon does that may save my life or car! :)

Thanks!

Rubicons had Dana44 axles front and rear with lockers... Your X just has a rear Dana44 and a front Dana30 with only limited slip. Not a HUGE loss unless you really plan on wheeling the piss out of it.

If you're only going to do mild stuff, the spacer lift should be fine.

Thanks man. I just got them to lower the cost $300 for the 4" so I'm going with it. I can't wait!

Does that include shocks?

Yes, it's the Superlift K921 4" kit.

Ever heard of it? Is it any good?

I've heard decent things about the JK lifts. Their TJ lifts on the other hand not so hot.
