angry sparrows question, but a little different

ok, i've got a noise that sounds like all the links i have seen related to the "angry sparrows". think is, the front driveshaft is new. brought it to a local 4WD shop i trust & he said it was the rear driveshaft that is the problem. he showed me how the front u joints are kind of binding/notchy when he was moving it around. but, i was wondering, can the noise come from the rear driveshaft? all the threads i have read about it say it's the front driveshaft that causes the problems/noises.

The front driveshaft has a CV (constant velocity) joint that the rear driveshaft doesn't have & it is very often the CV joint that starts squeeking. Drench the front CV with an aerosol lube & see if that temporarily eliminates the angry sparrows to help isolate to or away from the front DS.

i have the rear driveshaft off trying to find someone to someplace that can rebuild it before next weekend. i didn't hear it from moving it around using 4WD. so that can rule out the front driveshaft, right?

i'm going to drive it a little longer so i can make sure the noise isn't there.
