what is the softest spring available?

I have a freind that is going to have back and neck work done, he dont want to sell his jeep due to the stiff ride he has now, if he can find a spring that is soft enough he said he would keep it , any info. would be awsome.

Stock would most likely be the softest. But Rubicon Express probably would be the next closest. But search YJ lifts and see what you come up with on here.

old man emu has the best riding springs. I have rode in a friends jeep with these springs and it does ride smooth but keep in mind that a yj has leaf springs and a short wheel base, it will never ride like a cadillac.
a suspension seat will also help.

OME is the best, BDS is also good.
As always with new springs, torque the bolts after the wheels are back on the ground not before.

X2^ I have 2.5" ome springs, and I now have a very nice ride. I got the soft rear and medium front and couldn't be happier Old Man Emu YJ:*Jeep YJ*Wrangler Old Man Emu System

Coils,

Stock springs,

Ive ridden in many SUA jeeps and they all ride pretty much the same. I had 4.5 Rubicon express springs before and was told by people that rode with me that it had a good ride. I thought it was horrible.

I would look at some waggy springs, he could stretch the wheelbase with them and they are pretty cushy springs, I also have some nice leather seats out of an oldsmobile bravada that are really cushy and make the ride super nice. Plus you can find all that stuff at the JY for cheap usually

Soft Ride

I have toyed with the idea of converting mine to Air over Leaf Spring.
Strip the leaf springs down and use them for trailing arms Then install air bags all around. I think it would kill two Birds with One Stone You would have a Adjustable Ride and you could control the ride Height for Off Road I Believe it can be done with over the counter parts that are avalible without breaking the bank :whistling:
