What I woke up too

So this morning I woke up to a loud crash in my driveway. As it turns out someone driving down my street distracted because of his coffee jumped a curb and hit three cars. One of which was my 5 month old 2013 jeep sahara unlimited. The other two cars were also parked in their driveways. This is my first post but been on here a while so I thought I should and maybe make someones day better. Because mine sure sucked.

Also the muddy picture was someone else's driveway a week ago. My vehicle was fully on the driveway.

Sucks that your first post on this forum is of horrible news. Welcome anyway!:wavey:

In can be fixed, but will not be the same brand spankin' new Jeep you had a few weeks ago. I hope he has good insurance. What an idiot. I know insurance co's don't work this way, but it would be nice if his took your damaged Jeep, and bought you another brand new one.

Good luck to you.

Talk about a bad day. Welcome.

Sorry you had to start your day this way, but congrats on the new upgraded bumper that is in your near future. Hope the idiot 's insurance takes care of ya.

Sucks. Hit and run? Insurance doesn't rise from a hit and run so if it was, claim against your own. Perfect time to get a nice new rear bumper, and due to the nature of the damage, get the river raider rear corners. They require you cut must of your OEM rear corner out, which works out very well for you.

he knocked the mud clean off the jeep. i see a nice after maarrket bumper going on soon

Well things seem to be moving slowly. The jeep is currently at the dealership waiting for the go ahead from the adjuster. All new rear quarter panel a $2500 part. On top of all the other parts and paint a $7000 estimate repair. But all brand new factory parts. The other guys insurance is footing the bill for that and my deductable. Was gonna keep the jeep stock for the balance of the warranty but I may just start the upgrades this winter. Bumper, winch, lift, tires and guess would have to do gearing. Have 3.21's should've got the Rubicon.

Thanks for reading and sharing my pain. Have a good one.

I remember the morning I woke up to the alarm on my 2006 Nissan Frontier going off. Went outside to find a Chevy Tahoe flipped on its lid and laying in the bed of my truck. Took the fire department 2 hours to cut the woman out of her truck...
Sucks when things arent even safe in our driveways!
PS: the woman who landed on my truck was doing 55 in a 25 and texting!

Consider working a trade in deal with the dealer. They will get it fixed for a lot less so it might be worth it for you to take the money and get a new rubi and let the dealer have this one.

UGH... That is awful. What a crappy morning.

BUT, there is the technology to rebuild it, make it stronger... :)

AND you have a story to tell that will last the entire life of the jeep. (always look on the bright side of life).

Cheers

Remember don't just settle for the cost of the repairs, your Jeep has been devalued by the accident. CarFax and others will show it was in an accident. Your insurance company should be able to assist you in determining the decrease in value, or the Jeep dealership can. One of my employees not t-boned in her brand spanking new Fuzion and had to fight pretty had for the devaluation compensation, but she eventually got a check. By the time that fight started the repairs were nearly done, the other insurance company said they should have just totaled the car she said.
