what would you offer?

hey everyone, first time poster. first time soon-to-be Jeep owner.

I'm interested in buying this Jeep: 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport For Sale | Tamarac FL .

This is exactly what I've been looking for, color and all.

what would you offer for this car?
found out invoice price: $28,319

btw I have a down payment of about 4k

Offer 4% under invoice, don't pay more than 2% under invoice. Tread lightly gets an automatic 1% under.

I heard about the TL program, but I know you have to wait 30 days, and I wanted to buy this weekend.

I was thinking of offering 27k OTD, plus the trade in.

Have you considered shopping a state or two north... one way plane ticket and a few hours of your time may save you thousands... and would give you plenty of bonding time with your new JK.

I have, but I kinda don't wanna do that. idk if it's worth paying a delivery fee tho. it's so sad that the one I want, is sitting less than 30 mins away from me.

Pay whatever you feel it's truly worth to you. Obviously since this is the one that you want and it's not far from you (it's convenient) and you get to have it now... let those factor into your decision.

Keep in mind that Jeeps are very popular and it's not everyday that one finds the exact one that they want within distance and at a decent MSRP and invoice price. Don't be afraid to pay a little extra over invoice to

a) have it today
b) take it off the market now
c) not have to wait any longer, let alone a few months for a factory order.

$500-$750 over invoice would be an honorable deal, especially if the dealership and salesman have been good to you. But if you judge what others have paid as a baseline for what you think you "should" pay, you're in for a gross disappointment, frustration and dissatisfaction.

I would go with 3-4 percent under invoice. If there is a certain jeep you want and you want it right now you probably arent going to be able to get the best deal possible. But who cares? If you like it, and you want it then go for it! Remember invoice is just another number,,,,, dont let them say they arent making any money on the deal.
