What vehicle(s) that you used to own that you wish you had back

Of the 30some vehicles I have owned I have two that I let slip away that I wish I hadn't.

a 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS and a 1968 Buick LeSabre 2 door

1972 VW Beatle (first car, sold before I got my license)

2007 Mazda Mazdaspeed3. 263hp 280 ftlbs torque, 4 door hatchback with a top speed of 160 from the factory. Fast and was able to average 28mpg on a 16 hour roadtrip with my wife, son, 2 dogs and all of our stuff.

One of my first cars was a 79 Dodge Magnum. Looked just like the one in this pic but in an ugly OD green. Felt like a fishing boat going around corners but with how the motor was built it outran most other cars in my home town. http://hooniverse.com/wp-content/upl.../04/magnum.jpg

My 83' CJ7 and my 69' El Camino. Those were my favorite rides and remind me of a simpler time in my life.

I wish my dad still had his '67 E-type Jag or the '67 Plymouth Valiant.

one that I never had, but could have was my brother's '72 CJ5... that thing was a pain in the ass to work on with its Buick V6 (factory), inline fuses instead of a fuse box (also factory), and a pressure switch in the brake line instead of one at the pedal (again, factory), oh I almost forgot, the frame mounted master cylinder, that someone had 'glasses over the access panel in the floor to. but, damn, that thing was a blast.

I had one of those (not exactly sure of the year). It had the cut off pickup style top and a 345 AMC motor

My 70 chevy nova. Bright red, small block 4 speed car. Lotsa memories in that car

Flyfisher76 06-20-2013 08:58 PM

Mine was my first jeep that was a 1971 wagoneer with 42000 original miles. had the 360 automatic, working air conditioner, power rear window etc... but unfortunately it caught on fire due to a leaking power steering reservoir. What is even more unfortunate was since this was my first Jeep i didn't know anything and should have kept it and fixed it be cause it isn't like there are a bunch of computer controlled items in there.....oh well. I do keep my eyes peeled for one though that i can replace it with :)

Wondertwin1 06-20-2013 09:32 PM

1995 ford f150 XLT 5.8 auto 4x4 extended cab short bed dual tanks. Loaded to the hilt with pretty much every option. Cost $27,000 in 1994. It was my first truck. Had it for 3 years. Wrecked it and was planning on fixing it, but sold it to my buddy because I was to busy. Now I see it all the time, especially since me and my girlfriend hang out with him and his girlfriend a lot.

BigManAndy 06-21-2013 10:13 AM

The Jeep is the 3rd vehicle I've owned. Prior ones were a 2000 and 2005 Grand Prix. Great cars, but nothing memorable about them. So I'm guessing I'm driving the vehicle now I'll wish I had back down the road. If I ever get rid of it.

i don't have a picture of it, but i was into DSM's. i built a 97 eclipse gst spyder...i ended up giving it to my cousin as a present when he got his license. i can barely look at it now everytime i see him driving it. dents, scratches, paint peeling, soft top not working, and he doesn't take care of the engine...he just tops off the oil with cheap regular oil instead of changing it. but i love the stories he tells me of beating other cars with it.

I don't think I have any pics of the LeSabre anymore (if I do they're in a box somewhere), it's been 30 years since I let that one slip away. I did, however, find a disk this weekend with some pics of the Impala.

Thanks, It was my dads daily driver when I was growing up. And when he retired he gave it to me. So I done an off frame restoration and only bring it out from time to time. It has 20k on it since full restore.
Now my dad is 74 years old, and I let him drive it from time to time. And when he is behind the wheel, he smiles like his 16.
I would let him drive it more but that last time, he backed it into a fence and cost me $800 in paint repair. LOL
