Green wheels on a Commando Green - HELP

Does anyone have any photos of a Commando Green jeep with powder coated "army green" wheels. I found a guy who will powder coat my wheels for a decent price but I'm torn on the color. Do I go the safe route and go with black wheels or do I take a chance and go with the "army green" powder coat? I figure the flat green wheels will either be awesome and very unique or hideously ugly!!

Does anyone have any powder coated green wheels they could share?

Thanks!!,,

If it doesn't match the CG of the Jeep, it could go very bad.

It's close to the color but yea I was thinking the same thing. However for 200 bucks it might be worth it just to see if I can make magic happen.

I vote for matte black!

i think personally that will be too much green... go with black or even polished looking wheels.

That would be too much green for most folks. But not this green :blunt:

Look in the military jeep thread. Someone posted a pic of a green on green that was pretty nice...

FYI: army green won't match a commando green I'm going through this same process right now and it's proving to be a challenge.

I was planning on having some parts powder coated and was stunned to find out that Commando Green didn't exist. Undaunted I contacted Jessie at Prismatic Powders who found a color which was very close out of their stock of 6,500. She did what is called a "Reformulation" to make it match. I had to send her a part of my Jeep which was painted.

If you want something Powder Coated Commando Green you need to contact Jessie at Prismatic Powders (866-774-7628) and she will fix you up...I thank You!!!

God Bless all Commando Green Jeeps!!!

Love-it!!!! Just not sure I can find that exact color but that's what I envisioned. Wonder how that would look on factory wheels??

I thought about it, then went this route instead. I think it has a "more military" feel to it.

I agree. Steelies are the way to go. That pic is the first time I have liked 15 inch wheels on a JKU. I usually think they look too smallbut they work especially well in this case because the extra cg color is understated and just accents the color on the jeep - not too flashy. These are not tacky and have the added bonus of affordability. :thumb:
