Question on trading JK's

to make a long story short, me and my buddy are trying to figure something out.

*He has an '08 Rubi that he wants to sell so he can buy a bigger trial rig instead of dumping more money into his jeep.
*I want his Rubi because it's sitting how I want my JK to be

My question is, is there any way to somehow swap jeeps or doing this with out me having to put my jeep up on the market?
That's the only way I can think of doing this is for me to try and sell my Jk but I doubt he wants to wait for that.
Any suggestions would be appreciated cause I'd like to have his jeep

You could probably trade Jeeps plus cash. Assuming his Jeep is worth more than yours. But then he would either have to sell your Jeep, or trade it in towards whatever he wants.

There's no way to swap without you having to sell yours. I was going to suggest Carmax but they won't touch a modded vehicle. Unless you can find a dealer willing to do a two way in-and-out trade, there is no way to do this without putting your car on the market.

yea that's all we're coming up with, going to stop by a couple dealers after work and see if they'd buy it or if not going to try and sell it on my own

You could swap jeeps (legally, by transferring title) and then he could sell your jeep.

He would probably want you to agree to compensate him for the difference between market value of his jeep and the price he eventually gets for yours. So, hypothetically, if you both agree that his jeep is worth $15,000 and you swap, but he can only get $9,000 for yours, you would have to compensate the $6,000 difference. Sounds like a sticky deal to make- the kind that ruins friendships.

haha yea I wouldn't want to deal with that and he don't want my jeep.
We'll see what happens, I was just curious if there were any other way around it with out me having to sell first.
