I need crossmember bolts!!!

Hey guys , Anyone know where I can get new trans crossmember bolts for my YJ? They are the only thing keeping me from getting this thing back on the beach. :banghead:

Lowes has a large selection of hardware. I believe they are Grade-8 size 1/2" Coarse Thread. Take an old one with you to get the length.

the stock ones have that round base to them so they fit into the socket on the crossmember. wanted to find the ones that fit the right way.

The only place I've found that has the oem ones is the dealer. Bought 6 of them and cost around 35 dollars, plus they had to order. I've heard that you can use standard grade 8 bolts and flat fender washers, their thinner and will draw down into the socket. Don't know if you can find them with the proper size hold, may have to drill them out. Lowe's will have them or any hardware or home improvement store in their bolt section.

Grade 8 1/2"x13 will work fine.

Post in the "Wanted" section. I bought a set of them from another person on this forum (or another Jeep Forum). It was much cheaper than the dealer.

The regular bolts will work in a pinch, but I would still try to get the real bolts. I find Tractor Supply has the best hardware selection in my area.
