Max length cable for Warn winch

My VR8000 winch came with 94ft of cable. Will 100ft of rope fit w/o causing any problems? I am afraid it will be too long & will bind up

I wouldn't run more than what Warn provided, they fill it as full as is safe for the winch. Rarely do we need that much line anyway and when we do, we can use a tow strap or extension rope. I've never come close to needing all 80' of my rope & I don't have all the trees to attach to that you do there in NY.

Not to mention the fewer layers of rope on the winch, the more it can winch and the lower the amperage consumption at the same pull. In other words, the winch is working a lot harder to pull a load when the winch line is at the top layer than when it is on the first layer. :)

Good decision. Though my wife would have my you-know-whats if I bought a new rope & battery instead of countertops. :D

She'd have more than your you-know-whats if you tried to buy countertops that only cost as much as a rope and a battery.

It's my opinion the extra 6ft will not be a problem, The VR8000-S comes with 100ft of SPYDYRA rope.

Well I went with 80 ft of 3/8 and Im glad I did.I dont know how they fit 100ft on the drum.
