oil sending unit

daily dumb one-have a 98 4cyl and looking to change out the oil sending unit but I can't locate it. looked under everything I could think of in the FSM but saw nothing about where it's located. anyone want to point me in the right direction. mine works now-when it feels like it although lately it's been behaving it's self but I want to be able to trust it again. kinda freaky when it feels like not working.
thanks

I do believe it is right behind the oil filter.

It's actually just in front of the oil filter a few inches...

I'm not sure if the 2.5's are different but it's behind the oil filter. You'll have to move some wires and connections to get at it.

thanks guys--really had no idea where to start looking. I couldn't believe the FSM didn't have a pic. they do mention it a few times but no location-strange since everything I have had to do there are usually pics and step by step directions. had to check the book cover and make sure it was the FSM and not the Chilton or Haynes :)
