Alpine Premium

Purchased a 2013 JKU with Alpine Premium(No Nav). They shipping me a Kenwood NAV to install as I didnt want to wait for their production department. My question is, if I purchase a Factory Jeep Nav HU instead, is it plug and play and its ready to roll or do i need to install other items to make this function as if the factory did the install on prod line. I want to keep all of the steering wheel controls.
Thanks.

I'm assuming by Kenwood you mean not an OEM 430/730 radio?

If so, you will need one of these or similar:

PAC RP4-CH11 Factory Integration Adapter Connect a new car stereo and retain factory steering wheel audio controls, entertainment system, and amp in select 2004-up Chrysler models at Crutchfield.com

With the adapter, the only thing you lose is fade controls for front/rear. Steering wheel buttons and everything else still work.

As for the other half of your question...

Getting a OEM 430/730 radio will plug and play.
