Need advice on how to loosen up bolts coated in rhino liner

My rear hatch won't open and all of the bolts/screws surrounding the latch panel were heavily coated in rhino liner by the previous owner. Any tips on how to loosen them up without messing up the liner around them?

If it was me, I'd hit em with a rubber mallet, spray em with Kano Kroil and see if that did the job:

Google Deal

Actually cut the rhino liner around the edge of the bolt/nut - it can be peeled away in small chunks that way. Then scrape it off the nut/bolt to get a wrench on it and crank away.

:thumb: I agree. You can always hit it again with a can of liner if you are worried the bolt may rust.
