First and foremost, thank you for taking a look at this thread. I have a question in regards to alignment.

I purchased a wrecked Wrangler from auction (front end damage). The vehicle had an exisiting lift on it. The tires were BFG All-Terrains that had bad wear patterns common with bad alignments.

Prior to taking it in to get an alignment I noticed that the front lower control arms do not have the adjustment cam. Where can I pick these up? And what specs would I need to know in order to get this aligned, as I'm sure factory item specs won't necessarily apply due to the susp. lift.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to the Jeep world.

Does the Jeep have stock control arms or aftermarket adjustable lowers. If the lowers are not adjustable, you will probably have to go to the dealer to get the cams (unless you can get them through an alignment shop) Caster specs are 6-8 degrees on both sides for stock suspension and toe-in 1/16-1/8". Camber is -0.9 to 0.4 degrees but is not adjustable. I would think that stock settings or just a little less caster (maybe around 5) would be fine for a 2" suspension lift. Everything else would be the same.

The lower control arms are non-adjustable aftermarket. I'm not sure the brand of the lift. See attached pictures. I'm sure this means I'll need to get the cams.

Thoughts?

You might want to call your alignment shop and see if they have them available. If so, they could do the alignment, and if it's already within spec, you wouldn't need to put them on (unless you wanted to.)

Not sure what lift you have, maybe someone else around here knows.

The only thing you need to have checked & adjusted is the toe-in. Your non-adjustable caster angle will be fine with that amount of lift & the camber angle is not adjustable either. Jeep stopped including the front control arm cam bolts by 1999.

Thank you all for the information. I'll get this thing off to an alignment shop and go from there.

Also, if anyone can ID the lift brand let me know! Again, the info is greatly appreciated!

I've never seen those control arms but it's obvious they don't provide much in the way of flex where they bolt in place to allow the axle to move around in all the directions an axle needs to be able to move in. That's not a control arm I'd want to run.

Looks like Rancho control arms as well as springs and shocks. They have a barrel bushing design on some, my arms have them, but I think those have standard poly bushings.
