Fuel line spliceing

I had to cut the old rubber fuel line to check some stuff with the fuel pump and now I need to patch the part I cut and I've got a steel line to use to patch it
Help?

There are fittings that have a barb on one end. You could put the barb on the rubber line and then use a compression fitting and screw that onto the threaded end. Your local part store should have them

Just not too sure how long to cut the steel line to patch the two rubber lines

Measure twice, cut once...

Not sure I understand exactly but there are several places on the fuel line where it should be rubber. Because of flex upstream and downstream are different. Such as under the tank and seat. There is about a 4" length. That needs to be there.

Remember that frame twists and flexes like there is no tomorrow. If you make that fuel line or brake line for that matter, solid. It will break.
