Hey guys I just wanted to stop in quick and let you all know that I joined the ranks today! I am super excited, as this is my first jeep. So far I have loved every minute of driving the thing.

Now all that's left to do is just empty every pocket :D

2013 jku 3.73 hard top everything else bare bones.

Bayouwolf 07-01-2013 08:12 PM

Nicely done and welcome to the ranks.

Now go get it dirty and break stuff so you can justify buying better stuff!

Congrats! I have a 14 JK coming with those same tires/rims. I am going to spray them matte black and use them for the winter and possible next summer if I dont have the cash flow right away.

mrekoms 07-01-2013 08:40 PM

I am really debating on plasti dipping them for the time being or.... dropping the money now and getting tires/wheels. I'm leaning towards the later though as I don't think mb tko 15s and 33 duratracs will be too expensive.

You can get a full set of Sport S take offs with pretty much new tires for $650 or 700. Cheapest way to improve the looks by 100%.

I did the same thing, my only options were A/C and 3.73's. If there was a way to ditch about 60% more of the electronic crap, I would have jumped at it even if doing that cost extra, not less.

Good luck with 'er! :thumb:

Welcome. There's no better way to just empty every pocket.

Brewbek 07-01-2013 08:57 PM

Congrats! I joined the crew a couple weeks ago. I was missing my '01 TJ at first, because it was a more primitive kind of fun: loud and bouncy, with wind whistling under the hard top.
I'm forgetting about it fast, though. The '13 is a darned nice ride!

erik8312 07-03-2013 12:17 AM

Welcome, barebones here too!

Yep, yours looks identical... I bought a set of Sport S wheels the week I got it. Have ProComp 7036's and 35" Duratracs on the way, Teraflex 2.5 is sitting here for whenever I can free up some time.

I always buy strippers and add everything I want! :thumb:

I joined last Saturday..got a 2013 True Blue 2DR Sahara with a Hard top.

It's my 1st wrangler...had a 2007 Liberty with a Rustys lift before. That was nice but..man I dig this wrangler:wavey:
