Anyone know what it is?

dirtdigger 07-05-2013 08:34 AM

You can go to the home screen and look at special deals for members it should be in there off the top of my head I'm not sure what it is.

Thx

It is my personal opinion that any discount by being a forum member would only get you from ridiculously high prices to only higher-than-usual pricing even when free shipping is thrown in. Anything in that catalog can be found for way less $$$ online by doing a simple search using Google, etc. I haven't bought anything from them in many years for that reason.

Quadratec, besides free shipping will also PRICEMATCH any online competitor's price. The few times I have found lower prices elsewhere, they matched instantly. More importantly their customer service is top notch if a problem ever arises. Much better than expected for a large online jeep parts retailer.

My personal opinion is that Quadratec will temporarily drop their skyhigh prices for that one-time sale to match a lower-priced competitor to steal the business away from that dealer who was willing to risk their lower pricing up front. I personally consider that predatory pricing... charge skyhigh pricing to their more naive customers & then only drop it to a more competitive price to screw a more realistically priced smaller dealer out of the sale when the customer finds a lower price elsewhere.

My way of thinking is when I find something I want priced cheaper elsewhere, I'll buy it from that source... not just use the lower priced dealer as a way to buy it from Quadratec for the same price which I just don't understand. Is it the pretty catalog that makes some people do that?

What about QT's floor mats? Are there any better? I'm thinking about getting a pair for the front?

Can you give an example of a skyhigh pricepoint which a competitor sells much much lower as an example? Many times places like quadratec are held to MAP pricing outright, while smaller vendors "low price" cannot be publically advertised many times.

Regardless of how they practice their pricing, or you you personally view it, there are plenty of unscrupulous "predatory" pricing practices going on out there. And you don't have to be a LARGE company to charge an OBSCENE/high price for a product. I can think of one small company who charges an obscene price for a brake product that you love to promote, yet that same product can be found online from multiple retailers for literally a THIRD of the cost. ;)

They are very good and reasonably priced. I've been running a full set now for 2 plus years with new carpet underneath. My new carpet underneath still looks and feels new. :thumb:

Thanks for the feedback. The factory mats are starting to wear, and I'd like to protect the carpet below. I think I'm going to get a set.

It's pretty dry out here, but a lot of dirt and pebbles that wind up on the floor. These mats should help keep the floor clean.

Quadratec here on the West Coast is hard to order from. Shipping gets expensive, especially when you have to return something.

I bought some floor mats with free shipping. The mats shipped out of Las Vegas.

Bertieboo 07-10-2013 02:22 PM

I did not know about the free shipping and the price matching otherwise I would have ordered from Quadratec this week. Still, nevermind. I still need loads of stuff so will be in touch.

Cape Fear Finn 07-10-2013 02:55 PM

Just bought two lube lockers because of this promo!
