Front tube fenders question

I want to be able to use my inner fenders.Do all tube fenders eliminate the ability to reuse them?

They have quite a few,do they all come with them? Also is aluminum better? I wouldent have to paint alum, right?

They only have two types of fenders. Which are overland and arched and they come in steel or aluminum. On the other hand they have an assortment of different size fender flares that only come in steel since they take most of the abuse. If I had the money I would have gone aluminum fender only for weight reasons but I have no complaints on my steel ones.

To answer your original question. Most tube fenders reuse the stock inners and only MetalCloak and maybe one other company replaces the entire setup.

Thanks for the responses.
What does everyone do to paint the steel ones? Mine Im sure will get scratched so at some point I will need to repaint.
Also is there a reinforcement brace or bracket of some sort? I can see the body, where the fender mounts being damaged from an impact to the fender.

Look into MCE Flat Fenders. They are made of plastic and are a cheaper option without sacrificing the quality of a product. Pretty straight forward install. Another option (if you want a metal fender) is the PoisonSpyder Defender series. Very cool and they use the inner fender.

The mce plastic fender flares are actually very well made and will stand up to tons of abuse.
