Alpine Loop

On Friday, a friend & I did Engineer Pass (now to get my badge from Jeep) and part of Cinnamon Pass, then we camped for the night and on Saturday, we finished Cinnamon and then went on to do California Pass & another. What a great couple of days, pictures to come.

With living so close to Silverton and the trails, everyone from here should do a few of them while they have a Jeep

Nice! I'm hoping to get up there at the end of the month for a couple of days.

I will be there the weekend of the 20th July. I think we have Tomboy planned but not sure what else. Last year we did Blackbear.

Most of the trails are easy to just a little hard, but in this area there are a lot of trails and some get very difficult. I think a stock Rubi could do all of them. I only used 4lo coming down hill to control my speed, easier on the brakes and for me to take pictures.

Looks amazing. Hoping to make it up later this month or next.

Last year my wife and I did the Telluride/Ouray/Silverton loop, and did Imogene (up to the snow), Corkscrew Gulch and some other easy trails. Just an amazing area. Will have an off-road trailer sometime this fall and want to start camping in that area.

Bruce I hope you can get the time off (Bruce you can be the trail guide :D) as well everyone else that wants to attend. As everyone can see from Bruce's pis's this region is one of the most breath taking areas you go Jeeping. A trip to the San Juans will not disappoint, even for just a few days. I cant wait to get back up there just an amazing place. Ill get the new thread started for this trip.
