What tire carrier do you have? Lift looks great!

WininUtah 07-08-2013 01:18 PM

Looks great. I'm really looking forward to my 2014 in Flame Red.

mpk182 07-08-2013 01:52 PM

I have a teraflex HD tire carrier.

How is the ride quality?

mpk182 07-09-2013 01:11 AM

I couldn't be happier with the ride quality, it rides as good as stock maybe better. My wife even commented on how well it road. I haven't taken it off roading yet but from what I read I should be more than happy. I debated for a long as to which lift to get since its my DD and so far it was definitely the right choice. Metalcloaks customer service has been great as well. Someone was always available when I called with questions and they addressed a minor problem I had immediately.

Love this! I was leaning toward this lift and tire size and as my DD also I wanted to make sure I didn't screw it up and accidentally create a great offroad rig at the expense of on road where I spend 95% of my time.

Hey, I'm curious. Have you measured side to side to see if there is any unevenness? I installed a 2.5" TF kit and was told that this the classic "JK lean". Sounded like a canned BS response to me.

123Jato 07-09-2013 03:13 PM

I just bought the 3.5" and I have 35" tires but i kind of like your 2.5" look

123Jato 07-09-2013 03:15 PM

& what shocks did you pick?

I went with OME shocks that Metalcloak recommended. Didn't like the yellow so I painted them red.

No I haven't. I am at work now but can check when I get home.

terrabit 07-09-2013 04:47 PM

I'm very tempted to pull the teraflex stuff off and switch to MC. Matson called and thanked me for simply ordering a track bar. I have to say, I was pretty damn impressed. Very good customer service.

Sweet ride! Happy to hear that on-road ride quality is good. Installing a 3.5 game changer lite with the same shocks as you got. Goes on next week with a set of 37's. Can't wait!

BB1857 07-09-2013 08:08 PM

Love seeing this. I have the Duroflex 3.5" for my 2 door coming in a week and a half or so. I wanted to go with the OME shocks but they are on intergalactic back order it seems but Chris at Jeepaddons came up with a good alternative to go with BDS tuned Fox 2.0's in extra long length they are within .03" of the OME shocks and the re valving should soften them up. I am debating ordering the rear track bar and mount and just being done with it. Did you get the track bar with yours?

Rubicon 13 07-09-2013 08:45 PM

Also have the MC 3.5 lift. Awesome ride. I used the Bilstein 5100 with mine. Your ride looks great.

Duroflex lift, that would be the $2K one right? Can you post pictures of the front and rear axle views? trackbars and all that.

No just the relocation bracket.

The install wasn't bad. I did it myself and it took about 12 hrs over 2 days. My 5 and 3 year old were helping so that slowed it down a bit. I also had to stop periodically to help my wife with our 5 month old twins. Yea I got my hands full.

BB1857 07-12-2013 11:58 AM

Thanks Mpk. I talked to Will again yesterday and he told me to stick with just the relo bracket for now. My lift should be shipping out today!! :)
